The story behind the canvas...

My dad is a sailor. I never understood the appeal. I mean I thought sailboats were pretty but I liked the speed of a power boat. Dad wanted to Bareboat Charter for vacation but wanted someone else to know how to sail so off to sailing school I went. Sailing in NY Harbor was rough and not much incentive to fall in love. Captiva, Florida however, was another story...bigger boat, crystal clear waters and frolicking dolphin won my heart. I just had to paint something representative of my new love hence Sailboat Noel.
